Joined NTT Docomo in April 2006 and left the company in July 2015. In August of the same year, began working at the support association office as a secretary to his father, Jiro Kawasaki. Assumed the role of Head of the Liberal Democratic Party’s Mie Prefecture No. 2 Constituency Branch in July 2021. Won his first seat in the 49th House of Representatives general election held in October of that year.
Won a second term in the 50th House of Representatives general election in October 2024.
Appointed Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications in the Second Ishiba Cabinet in November 2024, with responsibility for information and communications, broadcasting, and postal administration.
Appointed Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office in the First Takaichi Cabinet in October 2025.
Won a third term in the 51st House of Representatives general election in February 2026.
Reappointed as Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office in the Second Takaichi Cabinet in February 2026.
